Synopsis : The Bengal Files traces India’s darkest historical chapters, revealing universal struggle for human dignity and the right to exist. Bengal bears the scars of horrific events—the Direct Action Day, the Great Calcutta Killings, and the Noakhali genocide. The film, among the most researched and painful in Indian cinema, uncovers hidden truths long buried. A Kashmiri Pandit CBI officer investigating a journalist’s disappearance uncovers a conspiracy stretching from Partition to the present, in a town gripped by fear under a communal political mafia. His only allies are a 100-year-old Partition survivor suffering dementia and a mute eunuch. Together, they navigate a perilous path to reveal the buried history of Bengal.
