Aanirai (NF)

Aanirai (NF)

Synopsis : The abandonment of the elderly, who become useless in old age, is a great tragedy seen worldwide today. In this world where even humans are abandoned, Aanirai is the story of Veerachchami, a simple man who refuses to abandon the cow he raised, cherishing it until his last breath. Aanirai means a herd of cows. Even when his cow stopped calving and giving milk, Veerachchami continued to love her. There are still people today who are similarly unwilling to part with their cows whose milk production has ceased. Everyone knows that selling a useless cow means it will be slaughtered for meat. For this reason, many people continue to care for their cows until the very end. This short film, Aanirai, profoundly speaks about the life of Veerachchami, who, unwilling to part with the cow he raised, struggles with affection and compassion for it, even in its useless state.
