Synopsis : On The 100th Anniversary of the Kakori Rail Action, this film pays a heartfelt tribute to the young revolutionaries whose fearless defiance against British colonial rule became a defining chapter in India’s freedom struggle. Set in the politically charged landscape of 1920s British India, Kakori follows the daring mission of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA)—a secret group led by Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Chandrashekhar Azad and their fellow patriots. Struggling to sustain their revolutionary efforts, they plan a bold train robbery to seize British treasury funds. What unfolds is the legendary Kakori Train Action of 1925—an audacious act that stuns the colonial government. The film goes beyond the heist, diving deep into the emotional and ideological journeys of these young patriots—their friendships, convictions, and ultimate sacrifices. As the British regime cracks down with brutal force, the revolutionaries endure betrayals, brutal interrogations, and a gripping courtroom trial that ends in martyrdom for many. Kakori is not just a historical retelling but a visceral, emotionally charged tribute to those who dared to dream of a free India. It captures the spirit of resistance and reminds us that a single act of courage can shake the foundations of an empire.
