Miroslav Remo was born on April 9, 1983 in Ladce, Trencin Region, Slovakia. After finishing high school, Miro started studying mechatronics at the Trenčín University. However, he soon switched to documentary filmmaking at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava where he earned his PhD in 2012. Miro directs, writes and photographs short, middle- length and feature-length documentaries. His latest film AT FULL THROTTLE (2021) was selected at Karlovy Vary IFF. His latest feature documentary BETTER GO MAD IN THE WILD won Crystal Globe for best film at Karlovy Vary IFF 2025.
