Padmashree Ramesh Sippy is a renowned Indian film director, producer, and industry leader, best known for his iconic film Sholay along with his films Andaaz, Seeta aur Geeta, Saagar, Shakti and many more. Apart from his directorial success, he has also made significant contributions as a producer, shaping several successful films under Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, including Dum Mari Dum and Nautanki Saala. He has served as the chairman of Guild, MESC and NFDC, and has been Chairman Jury for National Awards, Filmfare, IIFA and several others while playing a key role in India's film industry regulations. Additionally, he founded Ramesh Sippy Academy of Cinema and Entertainment offering courses in Media and Entertainment.
