Synopsis : Set in the extinct world of artisan mining in North Chile, this neo-western revolves around the struggles and gradual empowerment of a teenage girl, who is fighting to keep the family business alive against patriarchal structures and the overarching law of the land.

Juan Olea

Born in Santiago, Chile, Juan Francisco Olea has directed experimental videos and short films, including The Bluff (2009). The Lamb (2014) is his feature film debut, and Bitter Gold is his second feature.
