Synopsis : Rautu ki Beli, an idyllic town in hilly north India, has been virtually crime-free for over 30 years. The inhabitants are bewildered when a school warden is found dead and the police begin investigating – under the leadership of Inspector Negi. Nothing is as easy as it seems when societal stigma, small-town laziness and ‘locals in denial’ get in the way of a seemingly straightforward case.

Anand Surapur is an Indian film director, producer, and an ad filmmaker. After directing several ad films, Anand set up his own company, calling it Phat Phish Productions under which he directed ads for brands like Dominos, Surf, and Thums Up. He is best known being a part of Bajaj Auto's ad campaign 'Humara Bajaj' and producing ‘Quick Gun Murugan.’ His last directorial was the highly acclaimed ‘The Fakir of Venice’ starring Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor. His upcoming film is with ZEE Studios, titled ‘Rautu Ki Beli’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui premiering at the 54th International Film Festival of India.
