Synopsis : A dark comedic drama about Ella, a 34 years old theater dresser and mistress, who experiences the sudden death of her lover. She begins to attend his Shiva (a jewish mourning ritual) and observes the life that was once forbidden to her. The need to grieve attacks her in the least expected moments.

Ma’ayan’s short films screened in the festivals at Cannes, Palm Springs, Raindance, and more. They won awards for Best Film, Most Promising Artist and Special Mentions. She developed her debut feature, The Other Widow, in the Cannes residency. Currently she is working on her second feature.
