Memoirs of the Mangifera

Memoirs of the Mangifera

Synopsis : On the serene landscape of Divar Island in Goa stood an iconic mango tree which was a witness to life’s rhythms and a silent keeper of countless stories of the island. From childhood memories to local folklore, it became woven into the island's collective identity. Recently, heavy rains uprooted this beloved tree, leaving behind an absence that resonated deeply within the hearts of the island’s residents. The tree’s legacy endures through the tales, memories, and emotions that continue to be shared by the people of Divar. The documentary offers a heartfelt exploration of the lives connected by this tree—how it shaped friendships, traditions, and a sense of belonging.
