Synopsis : In the late 1940s, a devastating conflict takes place in Lebanon. Catholic sister and brother Emilie and Emir decide to leave for Brazil. On board the ship to their new home, Emilie falls in love with Omar, a Muslim trader. For an angry and jealous Emir, the relationship is intolerable. Emir's actions and Emilie's subsequent decision - unfolding against the backdrop of the majestic rainforest - will now lead to disastrous consequences.
