The Village


Synopsis : Gautham and his family set off on a fun road trip when they are forced to take a detour towards Kattiyal where the car gets multiple flat tyres. Gautham searches far and wide to seek help. Three people from a nearby village offer to help him. When he returns, he finds neither his family nor the car, but tracks leading into the dreaded interiors of Kattiyal. Meanwhile, wealthy, paraplegic Prakash sends a group of mercenaries and scientists to Kattiyal to obtain the miracle cure for his ailment that his father had left behind in a lab two decades ago. The paths of these two teams collide eventually, as they learn of the haunted past of Kattiyal, and why people go missing after entering the village. Will Gautham be able to find his family and make it out of Kattiyal alive?

Milind Rau

Milind Rau studied Film & TV from Bond University, Australia. He then worked as an Assistant Director, 2nd Unit Director and Post Production Supervisor with Mr.Mani Ratnam for seven years on his films. Milind made his directorial debut with the commercially and critically successful Siddharth-Andreah starrer, Aval (Tamil). The tri-lingual film was launched in Hindi as The House Next Door and Telugu as Gruham. Following which he directed Netrikann starring Nayanthara.
