Ariel Escalante Meza graduated in Political Science from Universidad de Costa Rica and in Cinema from Escuela Internacional de Cine y televisión (EICTV) in Cuba and Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. His debut film The Sound of Things (2016) was CostaRica’s entry for the Oscars in 2018.
